Primary Student Care Teacher (Chinese Language Support)

We are hiring a full-time Primary Student Care Teacher (Chinese Language Support) for an after-school student care setting in East Singapore.

This role supports primary school students in their daily after-school routine. It is a full-time on-site student care role that combines daily Chinese language homework guidance with student supervision, centre structure, and day-to-day operations.

This is not a preschool teaching role and not a pure subject-specialist tuition role.

Key Responsibilities

. Guide primary school students in their daily Chinese language homework
. Support students in Chinese language reading, spelling, comprehension, and simple written work
. Run basic Chinese language learning activities to reinforce language use and understanding
. Support students with homework from other primary school subjects when needed
. Manage daily routines, transitions, discipline, attendance, and dismissal
. Supervise students behaviour, safety, and follow-through during the after-school programme
. Support general centre operations and administrative coordination as needed
. Work with the team to maintain a structured, consistent, and well-run student care environment

Requirements

. Relevant experience in student care, tuition, enrichment, teaching, or a similar setting involving primary school children
. Able to guide primary school students in Chinese language homework as part of daily after-school support
. Comfortable conducting basic Chinese language support activities for primary school students
. Able to manage routines, group behaviour, discipline, and day-to-day student care operations
. Comfortable working in a full-time on-site after-school setting
. Candidates with direct experience supporting primary school children will be preferred
. Preschool-only or early childhood-only teaching experience, without direct primary school homework support experience, may not be sufficient for this role

Working Hours

. Monday to Friday: 9:30am to 7:00pm
. During MOE school holidays, the centre operates from 7:00am to 7:00pm on a rotating roster basis
