Job Description & Requirements
Key Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Review customer inquiries, specifications, or requests for quotes (RFQs) to understand project or product requirements.
- Calculate costs by analyzing labor, materials, time, and overhead expenses.
- Prepare detailed and accurate price quotes, proposals, or bids in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with sales, production, engineering, or procurement teams to ensure quote accuracy and feasibility.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pricing trends, market conditions, and material costs.
- Communicate with customers to clarify requirements or negotiate terms when necessary.
- Use quoting software, spreadsheets, or ERP systems to generate and track quotes.
- Ensure quotes comply with company policies, profit margins, and industry standards.
- Follow up on quotes to support sales teams in closing deals.
- Maintain accurate records of quotes, revisions, and customer interactions.
Qualification
- Proven experience in quoting, estimating, or pricing analysis (industry-specific experience a plus).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills for cost calculations and pricing strategies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, quoting software, or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry-specific materials, processes, or market trends is an advantage.
