Job Description
We are looking for a Pricing Support Analyst to join a Singapore-based team supporting investment and risk users with pricing, valuation, PnL and market-data related analysis. The role combines hands-on analytical investigation with stakeholder support, requiring strong market knowledge, sound judgment and the ability to work through issues accurately from inputs to final outputs.
Job Description
- Perform daily pricing analytics and validation, reviewing market inputs through to final analytical outputs.
- Calculate and deliver risk metrics used for internal dashboards and reporting.
- Support periodic valuation exercises and preparation of related reports.
- Handle queries from investment, risk and valuation stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely follow-up.
- Triage incoming issues to determine whether they relate to analytics, market data, platform access or another area, and route them to the appropriate owner when required.
- Investigate valuation, risk and PnL discrepancies within the team's scope and identify the underlying cause.
- Support pre-trade screening, scenario analysis and other pricing-related analytical requests.
- Take ownership of issues through to closure and keep relevant stakeholders informed throughout the process.
- For more senior profiles, act as an escalation point for complex or ambiguous cases and make sound judgment calls where standard procedures may not apply.
- Review and support the work of junior team members, helping improve the quality of investigation, communication and decision-making.
- Contribute to improving runbooks, documentation, operational controls and handover processes across regional coverage.
- Track defects and enhancement requests with relevant platform or technology teams and follow through until resolution.
- Identify opportunities to automate recurring checks and improve investigation efficiency through Python and modern analytical tools.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and a solid understanding of pricing, valuation, risk and PnL concepts.
- Relevant experience in pricing support, valuation, model validation, risk, quantitative development or a closely related function.
- Approximately 3-8 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of financial instruments across areas such as equities, rates, FX, credit and macro products.
- Exposure to structured or more complex financial products would be advantageous.
- Ability to analyse market data critically and recognise when pricing, valuation or risk outputs appear incorrect or require further investigation.
- Python skills are beneficial, particularly for automating recurring checks and developing simple analytical or investigative tools.
- Experience with SQL, Bloomberg or a trading-floor environment would be an advantage.
- A quantitative academic background is preferred, although equivalent professional experience or qualifications such as the CFA may also be considered.
- Strong communication skills, ownership and judgment, with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive requests and remain composed when supporting demanding stakeholders.
