Job Description

Responsibilities

Present news in a clear, accurate, engaging, and credible manner
Prepare thoroughly for broadcasts by reviewing scripts, verifying facts, and ensuring correct pronunciation
Adhere to the editorial guidelines set by regulators when writing, editing, and presenting scripts
Collaborate with producers and editors to refine scripts and ensure editorial quality
Handle live broadcasts, including breaking news, interviews, and livecross with reporters/correspondents
Conduct engaging and insightful interviews with newsmakers and subject matter experts
Contribute story ideas and participate in editorial discussions
Support digital initiatives, including scripting and appearing in short-form or social media content
Maintain professionalism and composure under tight deadlines and live broadcast pressure

Qualifications

Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Journalism, Communications and Chinese Studies) preferred
Prior experience in news media industry will be an advantage
Strong presentation skills and on-camera delivery
Possess clear diction and good voice
Familiar with Singapore's socio-political landscape and regional developments
Bilingual in English and Chinese language
Experience in cross-platform storytelling (TV + digital) preferred
