Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Preschool English Teacher to take full ownership of an N1 classroom within a boutique international preschool.
This is a fully hands-on teaching position for a teacher who enjoys having real ownership of the classroom, the autonomy to teach responsively, and close relationships with children and parents. The preschool offers an international environment, a Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm schedule and approximately 6 weeks of paid leave aligned with the school calendar.
This role is best suited to a teacher who is currently or recently active in hands-on preschool classroom teaching, enjoys creating interactive and play-based learning experiences for younger children, and is comfortable building strong relationships with highly engaged parents.

Key Responsibilities
. Take full ownership of the daily operation and culture of an N1 preschool classroom
. Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences aligned with IPC
. Deliver interactive, play-based and inquiry-led lessons that actively involve children
. Adapt lessons responsively based on children's engagement, interests and classroom needs
. Maintain a warm, secure and well-managed learning environment
. Manage classroom routines, safety, learning documentation and children's progress independently
. Build trust and rapport with parents through regular, clear and confident communication
. Communicate professionally with parents regarding children's development, progress and classroom matters
. Collaborate effectively with other teachers and classroom support staff
. Operate independently and take ownership within a small, autonomy-heavy preschool environment
Requirements
. ECDA-recognised L1 or L2 certification for teaching in English is required
. Hold an ECDA-recognised early childhood qualification appropriate to L1 or L2 educator certification
. Minimum 4 years of preschool group classroom teaching experience
. Prior international preschool experience is mandatory and must be clearly reflected in your employment history
. Recent hands-on preschool classroom teaching experience
. Proven experience independently managing and taking ownership of a preschool classroom
. Experience working with nursery or younger preschool age groups will be strongly relevant
. Strong spoken and written English communication skills
. Comfortable engaging directly and regularly with parents
. Able to communicate with parents in a confident, reassuring and professional manner
. Comfortable delivering interactive, play-based and inquiry-led learning rather than relying mainly on highly scripted or routine-based teaching
. Able to engage children actively and adapt lessons responsively in real time
. Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively with a small teaching team
. Comfortable working in an owner-led environment with high teacher autonomy and accountability
. Available for a January 2027 commencement timeline
This Role Is Not Suitable for Candidates Whose Experience Is Primarily:
. Enrichment or tuition teaching without full preschool classroom ownership
. Assistant Teacher or support-only positions
. Candidates who have been materially removed from active preschool classroom teaching
Role Details
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm
Salary: $3,800 to $4,500 monthly
Expected Start: January 2027
Leave: Approximately 6 weeks of paid leave annually, aligned with the school calendar
Location: Central East Singapore
