About Us
We're seeking a specialist to refine, map, and plan our curriculum for Playgroup through Kindergarten Two using our existing materials, ensuring coherence, quality, and classroom-ready implementation.
Role Summary
Contract: 3 months (immediate start), potential extension based on project needs
Scope: Plan and document curriculum for Playgroup, Nursery, K1, and K2 using our existing programme
Engagement: Full-time or part-time contract (please indicate your availability) hybrid/on-site/remote depending on fit and location
Key Responsibilities
- Audit and map our existing programme into a clear scope and sequence across all levels (PG-K2).
- Develop termly and weekly plans, unit outlines, and lesson plan templates aligned to learning outcomes across domains (language, math, motor, social-emotional, discovery/science, arts).
- Design or refine project-based/inquiry units where appropriate, integrating play-based pedagogy.
- Create teacher-facing guides: learning outcomes, provocations, center setups, materials lists, and classroom environment guidelines.
- Build simple assessment tools (observational checklists, rubrics, portfolios) aligned to developmental milestones and our outcomes.
- Align plans to relevant early childhood standards/regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with academic leads and teachers conduct walkthroughs/observations if on-site.
- Prepare training materials and run handover sessions for educators.
- Produce a final, organized curriculum pack and implementation timeline.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in early childhood curriculum planning (Playgroup-K2/ages 18 months-6 years).
- Deep knowledge of the early childhood sector and play-based pedagogy.
- Preferably experienced with project learning/The Project Approach and/or Reggio-inspired inquiry.
- Strong documentation skills and ability to translate frameworks into classroom-ready plans.
- Able to start immediately and deliver to timelines highly organized and detail-oriented.
Qualifications: Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood/Education (or related) 5+ years relevant experience preferred.
Familiarity with local early childhood standards and licensing requirements.
