Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Pre-Sales Engineer to join our team in Singapore. The Pre-Sales Engineer will play a key role in driving business growth by providing technical expertise and support during the pre-sales process. This role requires a deep understanding of optical networking technologies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to develop customized solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements, identify business opportunities, and develop customised technical solutions.
  • Conduct technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to showcase our products and solutions to potential clients.
  • Assess customer networks and infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation using our solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive proposals, technical specifications, and cost estimates that tailored to customer requirements.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to customise solutions, develop proof-of-concept demonstrations, and address specific customer needs.
  • Assist in preparing and delivering technical responses to RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information) from potential clients.
  • Act as a technical advisor and subject matter expert to the sales team and customers, providing insights and recommendations on emerging technologies and trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and key stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape to provide strategic guidance and competitive differentiation.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in optical networking engineering, pre-sales engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Good knowledge of optical networking principles, standards, and technologies, including DWDM, SDH, OTN, and fiber optic transmission systems.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering technical presentations, demonstrations, and workshops to customers and stake holders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop customized solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers, sales teams, and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical proposals, specifications, and cost estimates for optical networking solutions.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites across Singapore and occasionally internationally as required.

Salary package will be commensurate with experience.
