About the Role:
We are seeking a technically strong Presales Consultant who will take end-to-end ownership of bid management for government tenders and enterprise RFPs. You will work at the intersection of technology and business, translating complex AI and digital transformation solutions into compelling, compliant, and commercially sound proposals.
This is a high-autonomy role — you will independently scope, prepare, and submit bids with minimal hand-holding, while collaborating closely with solution architects, delivery teams, and senior leadership on strategic pursuits.
Key Responsibilities:
Bid & Tender Management
- Own the full bid lifecycle — from opportunity qualification through RFP analysis, solution design, proposal writing, costing, and on-time submission.
- Independently prepare and submit government tenders and enterprise RFPs without requiring heavy supervisory oversight.
- Maintain a bid library of reusable content including executive summaries, solution narratives, case studies, and technical appendices.
- Track tender portals (GeBIZ, Ariba, agency-specific portals, etc.) and manage submission calendars and compliance checklists.
Solution Solutioning & Technical Positioning
- Lead solution discovery sessions with prospects to understand pain points, technical constraints, and evaluation criteria.
- Design high-level AI and digital transformation solution architectures that are fit-for-purpose for public sector and enterprise environments.
- Translate technical capabilities (LLMs, ML/AI pipelines, data platforms, robotic process automation, cloud infrastructure) into clear business value propositions.
- Develop and deliver presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept narratives tailored to both technical evaluators and non-technical decision-makers.
AI & Digital Transformation Projects
- Lead presales engagements for AI-driven projects (80% of portfolio): conversational AI, intelligent document processing, predictive analytics, computer vision, and generative AI use cases.
- Support digital transformation engagements (20% of portfolio): cloud migration, legacy modernisation, process automation, and data platform implementations.
- Stay current on AI regulations, government AI governance frameworks, and data residency requirements relevant to public sector clients.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Liaise with solution architects, delivery leads, legal, and finance to ensure proposals are technically sound, commercially viable, and contractually compliant.
- Engage with technology partners and vendors (cloud hyperscalers, ISVs) to incorporate partner offerings into bid responses.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, procurement briefings, and client presentations.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience in a technical discipline.
- 5–7 years of experience in a presales, solution consulting, or bid management role within the technology sector.
- Demonstrated track record of independently preparing and winning government tenders or enterprise RFPs.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts: familiarity with LLMs, NLP, computer vision, predictive modelling, or AI platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI).
- Excellent written communication skills; able to produce clear, structured, persuasive proposal content.
- Proficiency in structuring pricing models, cost-benefit analyses, and commercial summaries for large-scale proposals.
