Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Practice Head – Physical Design to lead and scale our Physical Design (PD) vertical and drive end-to-end delivery for our ODC. The role requires strong technical leadership, team management, customer engagement, and ownership of project execution, resource planning, and practice growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the complete Physical Design (PD) vertical and drive end-to-end ODC delivery.
• Own physical design execution across floorplanning, placement, CTS, routing, timing closure, and physical verification.
• Drive PPA optimization, sign-off quality, and on-time project delivery.
• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing PD teams; oversee hiring, resource allocation, and technical development.
• Establish design methodologies, quality standards, and execution best practices.
• Manage customer interactions, technical reviews, escalations, and delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with RTL, DFT, STA, and SoC teams to resolve design and implementation challenges.
• Drive practice growth through delivery excellence, capacity planning, and new project opportunities.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Physical Design, with significant technical and team leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in the complete RTL-to-GDSII implementation flow and physical design sign-off.
• Proven experience in timing closure, STA, PPA optimization, and complex SoC implementation.
• Experience leading large PD teams, multiple projects, and customer-facing technical engagements.
• Strong understanding of industry-standard EDA tools and advanced-node design challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to own delivery, resource planning, team development, and ODC operations.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
