PR INTERN

Responsibilities

• Public Relations Support: Assist the PR team with day-to-day client servicing and campaign coordination.

• Media Relations: Assist in researching media contacts, maintaining media lists, and identifying relevant media outlets and journalists.

• Content Writing: Support the preparation of press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, client proposals and other PR materials.

• Media Pitching: Assist in pitching story ideas to media outlets and following up on media opportunities.

• Social Media & Influencer Engagement: Assist in researching suitable influencers and collaborators, preparing content plans, and supporting social media campaigns.

• Campaign Coordination: Support the planning and execution of PR campaigns, product launches, media events and client engagements.

• Media Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor media coverage, compile press clippings, and assist in preparing media coverage reports.

• Research & Administrative Support: Conduct research on industry trends, competitors and relevant news, and provide general support to the PR team as required.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a diploma or degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail.

• Interest in public relations, media relations, communications and the social media landscape.

• Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Proactive, resourceful and willing to learn in a fast-paced agency environment.

• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Familiarity with social media platforms and basic content creation is an advantage.

• Prior internship or relevant experience in PR, communications or marketing is an advantage but not essential.
