The Engineering Division conducts research and provides engineering services to the whole of DSO in the areas of digital and mixed- signal electronics/microelectronics, radio frequency (RF), electromagnetic interference (EMI)/electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), antennas, as well as mechanical and thermal engineering.

Power Electronics Engineer
In This Role, You Will
- Work with project teams to derive power requirements, budget and architecture
- Perform research and feasibility studies to identify solutions to unique problems
- Derive requirements and specifications for power system components, e.g. energy storage, power converters and/or electric machines
- Design and implementation of power converters (DC-DC, DC-AC, AC-DC)
- Work with mechanical, thermal and manufacturing engineers in packaging solutions for power electronic modules
- Design test plan and execution of tests on power systems and power converters
- Document design and test results
Job Requirements
- PhD / Master's / Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering / Power Engineering
- Experience in PCB designs of analog / power circuits with good understanding of designs for electromagnetic compatibility
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- Circuit simulation tools (E.g. LTSpice, PSIM or similar)
- FEM simulation tools (E.g. COMSOL, ANSYS or similar)
- Hands-on prototyping and testing experience using power supplies, oscilloscopes and electronic loads.
- Good understanding of mechanical, thermal constraints in power electronic/electric machine designs
- Team player with a passion to push boundaries in power technologies
