Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive portfolio management for multiple biotech and therapeutic projects, ensuring strategic alignment and value creation. Conduct and oversee commercial due diligence for prospective investments and technologies, evaluating market sizing and competitive landscapes. Collaborate closely with scientific, clinical, and operational teams to ensure milestone achievements in dynamic environments. Develop and execute intellectual property strategies in partnership with legal and technology transfer teams, safeguarding asset value. Act as a primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering relationships with academics, industry partners, and investors. Prepare and present high-quality materials for senior leadership and external committees, supporting transparent decision-making. Manage grant strategy and execution, ensuring adherence to funding alignment and compliance.
Requirements
- PhD in a relevant life sciences discipline (e.g., biomedical sciences, pharmacology, molecular biology, bioengineering). Significant experience in venture capital, consulting, biotech, or drug development with an emphasis on asset-centric decision-making. Proven expertise in commercial due diligence and strategic evaluation of life science assets. Hands-on experience with intellectual property strategies in a biotech context. Demonstrated ability in stakeholder management across academia, industry, and public sector agencies. Experience in managing or supporting grant-funded programs and navigating complex funding structures. Prior experience in ophthalmology or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. Exposure to company formation, spin-outs, licensing, or strategic partnerships is preferred but not essential.
