Job purpose:
The incumbent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the team's upholding of strict compliance with anti-money laundering and sanctions guidelines, all relevant/related regulations and internal guidelines. He/She is also expected to ensure all local addendums, procedures, processes are up-to-date with global requirements and/or local regulatory standards, provide regular updates to GS-Ops - Operations and CVT Singapore Team Head / GS-Ops - Operations and CVT Asia Regional Head and perform escalations where required.
Key activities:
General
- Understand and comply with Commerzbank's Code of Conduct
- Ensure compliance to AML, Sanctions, KYC and other relevant policies, procedures and regulations
- Support initiatives related to changes in the regulatory landscape, system enhancements or updates
- Provide support in potential remediation reviews
- Provide support for on-site activities as assigned
- Provide team coverage where required
- Assist with any other duties or projects as assigned by GS-Ops - Operations and CVT Singapore Team Head / GS-Ops - Operations and CVT Asia Regional Head
- Understand Commerzbank structure, client coverage/segmentation and products/services offered to clients in international Commerzbank locations
Role Specific - Client Verification (CV) Focused, Account Administration (AA) Focused, Operations Focused
- Local Addendums Maintenance and/or Control (inc. but not limited to the KYC Handbook, Screening Procedure, AWLF Alert Handling Procedure, Adonis Processes, AA Desktop Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures etc)
- Representative for Branch on regional / global procedural topics
- Project Support for CV / AA / Operations initiatives, including but not limited to data control and governance
- Outsourcing standards / service quality, Control and Governance
- Systems process expert (inc. but not limited to AOPX, Actimize, Phoenix, Asia Reporting Platform, Summit, Easymatch, TRAM etc)
- Process Control (inc. Adonis Processes, Standard Operating Procedures)
- Planning and conducting trainings and knowledge sharing sessions (including but not limited to system/process/procedural trainings to service provider/team members)
Formal education:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Finance, Science or similar education
- Completed apprenticeship / training in the financial industry or similar education
Specialist knowledge (work experience, further qualification):
- At least 5 years professional experience in Banking and Market Operations and/or Client On-boarding / KYC operations and/or Anti-Money Laundering functions at a large financial institution
- Working experience in an international environment is a plus
- Advanced knowledge of Financial Crime prevention, local and international sanctions and Know Your Customer requirements
- Well versed with respective global / local regulatory requirements and market practices
- Act in line strictly with all internal and external laws, policies, and guidelines e.g. ComValues, Culture of Integrity, Code of Conduct, ABC Policy, TRM etc.
- Proficient use of MS Office Suite
- Fluent in English German and/or other language skills is a plus
- Excellent analytical, oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to details required
- Advanced time management skills and ability to execute tasks within tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently or with limited guidance and seek for advice proactively
- Good teamwork attitude to share responsibilities and confer with others
- Hands-on approach in the day to day operation
- Resourceful and have good motivational and conflict management skills
