Job Description
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions by reviewing his or her medical history, listening to the patient's concerns
- Diagnose foot, ankle and lower leg problems through physical examinations
- Provide treatment for foot, ankle and lower leg conditions
- Give advice and instruction on foot and ankle care
- Provide training and mentorship to junior administrative and clinical staff
- Assist with marketing content on podiatry related knowledge
- Maintain professional relationships with referring doctors
- Attend relevant continuing education sessions to stay informed and up to date with latest clinical evidence
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in Podiatry and Medicine relevant to foot and lower limb care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Strong knowledge of Biomechanics to analyze gait, posture, and functional movement and to inform treatment planning.
- Proficiency in Orthotics, including prescribing, fitting, and reviewing custom and off-the-shelf devices.
- Experience managing Diabetes-related foot conditions, including risk assessments, wound care principles, and preventive strategies.
- Recognized degree or professional qualification in Podiatry; eligibility for relevant professional registration in Singapore.
- Effective communication skills with patients and colleagues, with the ability to explain clinical information clearly and empathetically.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and to manage a varied caseload in a busy clinical setting.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and evidence-based care; prior experience in private clinic or community settings is an advantage.
