What you'll do:

As the PMO Lead for Logistics and Transportation, you will be entrusted with steering some of the most significant transformation programmes within the enterprise markets portfolio. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve orchestrating complex project deliveries that span continents-ensuring every milestone is met with precision while upholding strict governance standards. You will foster collaboration among diverse teams from supply chain through to IT and commercial functions. By engaging directly with senior stakeholders at every stage of the process, you will play a crucial role in risk mitigation and decision facilitation. Your expertise will be vital in supporting seamless transitions for warehousing and transportation operations during times of change.   • Navigate uncertainty by managing interdependencies between regions and functions while maintaining confidentiality throughout all phases of major programmes.
  • Lead large cross-functional teams spanning supply chain, logistics, operations, finance, legal, IT, and commercial departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Engage with senior leaders to secure buy-in, mitigate risks proactively, and facilitate effective decision-making within a matrixed organisational structure.
  • Influence critical decisions that shape supply chain structures, transition timelines, and strategies for operational continuity during periods of significant change.
  • Support operational teams in executing smooth separation and transition plans for warehouses, distribution centres, and transportation partnerships affected by transformation initiatives.
  • Drive optimisation opportunities related to network flows, contract modifications, service-level design enhancements, and cost structure improvements.
  • Manage project processes such as user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure all deliverables are completed without business disruption.
  • Deploy supply chain continuity projects aimed at building resilience across end-to-end networks while standardising tools, platforms, and processes across multiple markets.

  • Demonstrated history of successfully leading complex multi-market strategic programmes within matrix environments where stakeholder alignment is paramount.
  • Comprehensive understanding of global warehousing and transportation operations-including third-party logistics management (3PL), service-level agreements (SLAs), and network design principles.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills when dealing with both external partners and internal senior stakeholders to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Proven ability to guide teams through ambiguous situations while handling confidential information at executive levels with discretion.
  • Track record of delivering projects punctually within defined scope and budget constraints by leveraging robust governance methodologies.
  • Expertise in establishing PMO frameworks encompassing risk management protocols as well as transparent stakeholder communication practices.
  • Advantageous: Experience managing divestitures or major organisational transformations such as carve-outs certification in Project Management (PMP or Prince2) or Agile methodologies familiarity with digital supply chain platforms or process standardisation initiatives.
