Key Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble piping systems, supports, and equipment based on blueprints and technical drawings.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes using hand or power tools and equipment.
- Weld, braze, or solder pipes and fittings as needed to complete the installation.
- Test piping systems for leaks using hydrostatic or other pressure testing methods.
- Maintain and repair existing piping systems by replacing damaged components or upgrading the system.
- Adhere to safety standards and ensure that all work is completed according to relevant building and safety codes.
- Collaborate with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on piping systems.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of pipe fitting techniques and tools (welding, cutting, brazing, threading).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Good physical condition and strength, able to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with various types of piping materials, including steel, copper, and plastic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
