Contract Duration: 12 months & extendable (Extension is subject to project requirements.)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Playwright QA / Automation Test Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of automated testing ecosystems for our high-profile enterprise client.

In this role, you will design, build, and scale end-to-end (E2E) and API test frameworks from the ground up using Playwright paired with modern AI-driven toolsets. You will play a pivotal role in accelerating release cycles while ensuring high reliability, performance, and cross-browser coverage across key enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Framework Design & Scaling: Architect, build, and optimize scalable, robust automated test frameworks from scratch using Playwright (with TypeScript or Python).
• AI-Assisted Efficiency: Leverage modern AI software development tools to rapidly generate test code, refactor legacy test suites, and dynamically generate realistic test datasets.
• Full-Stack Automated Testing: Create, manage, and execute automated smoke, functional, regression, and integration test suites covering both Web UI and REST APIs.
• CI/CD Pipeline Integration: Seamlessly integrate test suites into continuous integration/deployment pipelines (such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI) for rapid execution and automated feedback loops.
• Test Reliability & Debugging: Monitor automated runs, isolate root causes, systematically resolve flaky tests, and configure clear reporting tools (Allure, JUnit, JSON).
• Agile & DevOps Collaboration: Partner closely with cross-functional development and DevOps teams to refine acceptance criteria, define test strategies, and implement Shift-Left quality practices early in the SDLC.

Technical Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of total software quality engineering experience, with 3+ years of hands-on expertise specifically using Playwright.
• Programming Languages: Advanced proficiency in TypeScript (preferred) or JavaScript / Python.
• API & Database Skills: Proven track record in automated API testing (RESTful services) and basic database validation using SQL.
• DevOps & Version Control: Strong fluency with Git, containerization concepts, and pipeline orchestration via modern CI/CD platforms (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI).
• Testing Best Practices: In-depth knowledge of SDLC/STLC methodologies, cross-browser compatibility testing (Chromium, WebKit, Firefox), and modern QA patterns (e.g., Page Object Model, parallel execution).
• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, IT, or equivalent practical industry experience.
