Platform Engineer (k8s security), AI Infrastructure

Backed by strong funding, our client operates extensive GPU cloud platforms throughout Asia-Pacific and is growing its footprint. We are currently seeking a Platform Engineer (k8s security) to secure and scale its core platform.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for end-to-end security of the company's managed Kubernetes and AI platforms that power GPU-intensive workloads. You will assess and mitigate risks, harden systems, ensure secure access, and embed security controls into IaC workflows and CI/CD pipelines. The role covers areas such as Kubernetes security (RBAC, admission controls, policies, auditing), supply chain integrity (image signing, scanning, policy enforcement), patch automation, and encryption of data in transit and at rest. You will also collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams on compliance automation, secrets management, identity and privileged access management, security monitoring, and incident response-while experimenting with AI/ML-driven tools to surface posture gaps and detect anomalies early.

Requirements
Ideally, you should have at least 7 years experience in Platform Security, DevSecOps, or Site Reliability Engineering, including strong hands-on work in Kubernetes security and networking, IaC security scanning, and tools for supply chain security, secrets management, IAM/PAM, and certificate management. You have solid knowledge of security standards and frameworks (CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and cloud-native risks (OWASP Top 10) in distributed systems. Proven proficiency in scripting/programming (Bash, Python, Go) with strong Linux, networking, and distributed storage fundamentals, ideally supported by security or cloud security certifications. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
