Job Description

Proven experience as a plate glass fitter or glazier
Familiarity with various types of glass (tempered, laminated, etc.)
Ability to read technical drawings and take accurate measurements
Ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Measure, cut, and shape glass to specifications using specialized tools
Install glass into windows, doors, partitions, storefronts, and other structures
Remove broken or damaged glass and prepare surfaces for new installations
Fit and secure glass using putty, rubber gaskets, metal clips, or sealants
Handle and transport glass safely, following all safety procedures
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders accurately
Operate glass-cutting equipment and machinery safely and efficiently
Collaborate with contractors, clients, and other team members on-site
Perform finishing work such as polishing edges and sealing joints
Conduct quality checks and ensure completed work meets required standards
Perform any other ad hoc duties as assigned
