Plasterer:
Key Responsibilities
- : Cleaning, repairing, and levelling walls and ceilings, including removing old plaster, painting, or setting up scaffolding.
- : Mixing plaster, cement, or stucco to the correct consistency and applying it using tools such as trowels, brushes, and spraying equipment.
- : Smoothing surfaces to a high-quality finish, installing plasterboard/drywall, and creating ornamental plasterwork like cornices, roses, or textured finishes.
- : Fixing damaged, cracked, or damp plasterwork in both new builds and renovation projects.
- : Measuring areas, estimating material quantities, and adhering to safety standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Proficiency: Ability to read blueprints, understand construction designs, and handle various plastering tools.
- Physical Stamina: High level of fitness required for labour-intensive work involving lifting and manual dexterity.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to achieve smooth, precise, and aesthetically pleasing surfaces.
- Experience: Proven experience as a plasterer or completion of a relevant apprenticeship/training program.
