Job Description

The

Planning Executive (Road Transport / Component Maintenance)

is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance activities for a fleet of road vehicles and their key assemblies (e.g., engines, transmissions, braking systems, and electrical components). This role ensures that all preventive, corrective, and heavy component overhaul programs are executed efficiently to meet fleet availability, strict regulatory compliance, and safety standards.

Maintenance Scheduling & Workflow Coordination

Develop and track comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules, major overhauls, and regulatory inspection timelines for the fleet.
Generate, release, and track work orders using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) like SAP PM to align with workshop capacities.
Assess and balance workshop labor man-hours, task durations, and special tooling requirements to prevent operational bottlenecks.
Component Maintenance & Lifecycle Management
Monitor component lifespan and perform breakdown trend analysis to predict component failures and optimize replacement cycles.
Coordinate the removal, repair, and overhaul workflows for critical sub-assemblies (e.g., drivetrains, braking systems, traction motors).
Plan and evaluate trials for new automotive components or workshop technologies alongside Original Equipment Manufacturers.
