Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules based on project scope, milestones, and deliverables
- Prepare baseline schedules and regularly update project timelines
- Monitor critical paths and key project milestones
2. Site Progress Monitoring
- Conduct regular site visits to verify actual work progress against planned schedules
- Coordinate with site supervisors and engineers to collect accurate progress updates
- Identify potential delays or issues affecting construction activities
3. Reporting & Schedule Control
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports
- Analyse schedule variances and propose recovery plans where necessary
- Provide schedule updates and recommendations to project management
4. Coordination with Project Team
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project schedules
- Support coordination meetings and planning discussions
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts between different trades and activities
5. Resource Planning Support
- Assist in manpower, equipment, and material planning to support project timelines
- Monitor productivity and provide feedback on schedule performance
Requirements
- Degree / Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline
- Minimum 35 years of experience in construction planning or project scheduling
- Familiarity with planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and project specifications
- Experience working closely with site teams
