Planning Engineer

Job Description

• Assist the Project Manager in preparing Level 2 to Level 4 construction schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring that projects are planned and executed within the allocated budget, available resources, and established timelines.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, and plans for new project proposals.
• Prepare progress S-curves, coordinate and attend meetings with clients and contractors.
• Prepare project progress summaries.
• Prepare scheduling documents and construction planning documentation for tender submissions and project execution.
• Perform project performance analysis, including earned value analysis, by evaluating man-hour resources and the productivity of third-party contractors.
• Prepare progress reports, develop and update progress curves, and prepare briefing materials as required to measure and assess project progress.
• Maintain logical and integrated schedules in Primavera P6 to identify potential problem areas and alert the project team to critical scheduling issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering.
• A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience is required.
• Must have experience in Level 4 planning.
• Must have working experience with Primavera P6.
• Experience in tender submissions will be an added advantage.
• Must have experience in building and civil construction projects with a main contractor.
