About the role

You will keep a field team of 20+ technicians on time, on spec, and on record - every single job, every single day. This is not a management-by-title position. You will own execution: reviewing schedules, catching compliance gaps before they leave the office, and making sure nothing falls through the gaps between sales and delivery.

You work in a flat operation. There is no empire to build. There are clear operating principles, and your job is to enforce them consistently - with AI tools doing the grunt work wherever possible.

What you will do

  • Plan and monitor daily field deployment across all job types (plumbing, electrical, gas, aircon, false ceiling)
  • Review M&E drawings, site assessments, and quotations for technical accuracy before job dispatch
  • Track on-time delivery KPIs and flag deviations before they become customer complaints
  • Maintain compliance records in line with BCA, EMA, SP PowerGrid and City Energy requirements
  • Use AI tools to automate documentation, reporting, and scheduling tasks - you will be expected to build these workflows, not just use pre-built ones
  • Support SOP implementation and flag gaps to the Operations Manager
  • Coordinate with the sales team on job sequencing and resourcing

What we are looking for

  • Diploma or higher in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or related discipline - you must be able to read M&E drawings, interpret and operate AutoCAD files without assistance
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in M&E, facilities, or home services operations - field exposure preferred over purely desk-based roles
  • Comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) as part of daily work - not as a novelty, but as a productivity multiplier
  • Detail-oriented with a low tolerance for vagueness - our SOPs are precise and you will be expected to follow and enforce them
  • Self-motivated with a clear interest in income growth tied to performance - this company rewards output, not tenure

  • Which university or polytechnic you attended
  • Whether you have managed large teams before - we are a lean operation and intend to stay that way
