We are a growing company in the transport and logistics industry, specializing in food service B2B delivery. With a fleet of bikes, vans , trucks and reefer trucks we are expanding our team to improve planning efficiency and service quality.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Planner / Dispatcher to take charge of route planning, driver coordination, and daily dispatch operations. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth, cost-effective, and timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with company policies and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

. Route Planning & Optimization: Develop efficient delivery schedules and optimize routes for maximum efficiency.

. Driver Coordination: Assign jobs to drivers, ensure adherence to work hours, and manage on-the-ground issues.

. Real-Time Monitoring: Track delivery progress, resolve operational challenges, and coordinate contingency plans.

. Customer Communication: Liaise with clients regarding delivery updates, special requests, and service expectations.

. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with company SOPs and regulatory requirements, while maintaining records for performance tracking.

. Team Leadership: Support and mentor the dispatch team, ensuring smooth handovers across shifts.

Requirements:

. Experience: Minimum 2-5 years in transport planning, logistics, or dispatch operations.

. Industry Knowledge: Understanding of transport regulations, fleet management, and logistics workflows.

. Technical Skills: Proficient in route planning software such as Detrack or Routific, GPS tracking tools, and Microsoft Excel.

. Communication & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to multitask, make quick decisions, and handle operational challenges efficiently.

. Team Player: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with drivers, operations teams, and clients.

. Availability: Comfortable with shift-based schedules, including early morning or weekend operations as required.
