Design & Planning:
Review Fabrication (Production) drawing before issuing to production team for fabrication
Ensure designs comply with codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.3) and company policies
Prepare material take-offs (MTOs) / Bill of Order (BOM) as per Engineering drawing and send to Production Engineer for bulk material ordering
Coordinate with engineering team to integrate piping systems with other equipment
Draw isometric sketches as and when required as per receiving Works Order to Production department
Fabrication & Assembling:
Supervise and monitor the fabrication of piping spools and components
Oversee the installation/assembling of piping, supports, branches, and valves
Ensure compliance with welding procedures and quality standards
Manage yard activities to ensure safety and timely progress
Identify and resolve piping-related issues and implement corrective actions or Red-mark up drawings
Closely monitor and do a markup on weld map drawing and follow up with NDT procedure (MPI)
To complete dimensional checks during fabrication as per production drawings
To follow up with Checklist and complete them in timely manner
Quality & Safety:
Monitor all quality control aspects of material, fabrication, NDT, testing and assembling.
Ensure work is performed safely and in compliance with safety procedures and permit to work system.
Maintain detailed inspection and quality reports.
Insulation & Testing:
Conduct and supervise hydrostatic, pneumatic, and leak tests as per project requirement
Coordinate with QC teams to ensure proper documentation of tests and inspections
To follow up with Sub-contractor to install piping insulation as per production drawings
Final painting and inspection:
Ensure colour coding are followed during final painting as per project requirements (indicated in the drawing)
Final inspection to be done with Client
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including drawings, test records, and material certificates.
Provide daily and periodical reports on yard progress and project status to Production planner.
General For Production yard:
Maintain proper and required fabrication tools and equipment (to report any damaged equipment)
Arrange fabrication equipment test, Calibration, re-certification, repair, maintenance, etc.
Ad-Hoc
Ad-Hoc duty will be assigned by managers.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
Preferably at least 2 years of relevant experience in the Construction or Industrial Engineering sector.
Fresh graduates with strong interest in ACMV systems are welcome to apply.
Experience in ACMV design, piping systems, structural supports, and ducting works will be an advantage.
Exposure to projects such as manufacturing plant construction or data centre fit-out works is preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an outgoing and collaborative mindset.
