Lead the piping design for offshore oil and gas platforms ensuring compliance with international standards
Develop, review, and optimize piping layouts, specifications, and stress analysis to deliver high-quality design solutions.
Manage and mentor a team of piping engineers, organize resources efficiently, and promote a collaborative and productive work environment.
Utilize and guide the team in the use of piping design and analysis software for 3D modeling and pipeline stress analysis.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines to ensure integrated design.
Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and external partners to resolve technical issues and ensure project progress.
Identify potential design risks and challenges early, providing innovative and practical solutions to maintain project schedule and integrity.
Ensure piping design deliverables pass all required approval and review processes specific to Qatar projects.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and regional regulations, including Shell and Qatar Petroleum (QP) standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Marine Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in piping design for offshore oil and gas platforms
At least 3 years in a piping design or management role on projects within Qatar or the Middle East region
Strong familiarity with the characteristics and technical requirements of piping design in the Qatar offshore environment.
Thorough understanding of piping design principles, processes, and key technical considerations specific to offshore oil and gas platforms in Qatar is a MUST
Proficient with piping design standards such as ASME B31.3 and local Qatar regulations
Skilled in piping software including PDMS, E3D, and CAESAR I
Familiar with Qatar's project approval and design review protocols
Prior work experience on Qatar-based projects is an advantage
Knowledge of Shell and Qatar Petroleum (QP) standards is a preferred
Excellent command of English
Familiarity with international standards and Middle East regional design codes.
