Pipe Jacking Operator

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Jacking Machine Operator to join our fast paced underground sewer project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of pipe jacking machinery and ensuring that all tunnelling works comply with project and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

. Operate pipe jacking machines for underground sewer and tunnelling projects.

. Monitor and control jacking pressures, alignment and machine performance.

. Carry out routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment.

. Work closely with site engineers and ground crew to ensure accurate line and level.

. Follow project specifications, safety protocols and environment procedures.

. Troubleshoot electronic, electrical and mechanical issues on site.

. Record daily progress, machine data and operational issues.

. Assist with the setup and demobilization of jacking pits and support systems.

. Submit pipe jacking records and reports as required.

. Willing to work overtime, night shifts, Sundays and public holidays when needed.

Job Requirements :

. Proven experience operating pipe jacking machinery.

. Strong ability to read engineering drawings and operate laser and gyro guidance systems.

. Experience in PLC troubleshooting.

. Hands-on experience with HERRENKNECHT pipe jacking machines.

. Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and electronic systems.

. Ability to work in a fast-paced underground environment with a focus on safety and accuracy.
