Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing piping systems for various applications, including industrial & commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings and piping diagrams.
- Measure, cut, thread, bend, and weld pipes according to project specifications.
- Assemble and secure pipes using welding, soldering, brazing, and cementing techniques.
- Install pipes, valves, and fittings onto walls, tanks, and other structures.
- Inspect and test piping systems using pressure gauges and hydrostatic testing.
- Diagnose and repair leaks, blockages, and damaged pipes.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
- Operate specialized tools such as pipe cutters, threaders, and bending machines.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members.
Requirements
Education & Certification:
- Minimum Higer Nitech or equivalent.
- BCSS / CSOC certification required.
- Certifications in Work at Height, Scissor Lift, and Manhole Safety preferred.
Skills & Experience:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in pipefitting or a related trade.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong mechanical skills and proficiency in using pipefitting tools.
- Physical strength and stamina to handle heavy materials and work in demanding environments.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and repair piping issues.
- Good communication skills and a responsible, detail-oriented work attitude.
