PHYSIO ASSOCIATE

Job Summary

The Physio Associate works under the direction and supervision of a licensed physiotherapist to assist in the rehabilitation and treatment of patients. This role involves carrying out treatment plans, helping with patient mobility, and ensuring the effective implementation of therapeutic exercises and techniques. He / She is also required to assist with the checking in / out of patients, scheduling patient's next appointment and receiving payment from patients.

Key Responsibilities

Patient care

- Assist in implementing treatment plans.

- Guide patients & monitor their progress.

- Provide emotional support & encouragement to patients.

Documentation

- Record patient's progress & reporting to physiotherapists.

- Maintain accurate & timely documentation of patient care in compliance with legal's & clinic's requirement.

Equipment management

- Ensure all equipment is clean, well-maintained and ready to use.

- Assist in the application & adjustment of therapeutic devices.

Collaboration

- Work closely with physiotherapists, other health professionals & support staffs to coordinate patient care.

- Participate in team meeting & contribute to the development & review of treatment plan.

Patient education

- Instruct patients & their family members on home exercises and lifestyle modifications to support recovery & prevent further injury.

Administration

- Using the clinic's system to check in / out patients & to assist in making future appointments.

- Assist in payment collection.
