Physical Security Systems Engineer (Yearly Renewable Contract)

We are looking for a Physical Security Systems Engineer to support the day-to-day operation, maintenance and administration of physical security systems. This role will work closely with internal teams and users to manage system access, troubleshoot technical issues, maintain system configurations and provide operational support for access control and video surveillance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage user accounts, access permissions and requests for Access Control and Avigilon systems, ensuring compliance with approved procedures and least-privilege principles.
• Troubleshoot access control, monitoring and physical security system issues, including conducting initial triage and resolving issues based on established SOPs.
• Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate support teams and follow through until resolution.
• Communicate ticket status and resolutions clearly to end users.
• Support configuration changes, firmware updates and other security-system-related technical activities.
• Maintain holiday schedules and time zone configurations within the Lenel system, ensuring access permissions and workflows remain accurate across different regions.
• Support mobile access control devices, including logistics coordination, spare-parts procurement, equipment status reporting and troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate device health and status reports and provide users with technical guidance when required.
• Manage and maintain access control/CCTV device account credentials in accordance with information security requirements, including regular password audits and updates.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in configuration, installation, troubleshooting and management of Access Control Systems, CCTV or video surveillance systems.
• 4–6 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years supporting client-side operations.
• Hands-on technical experience with physical security systems, particularly Access Control and CCTV/video surveillance systems.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity practices, site security operations and system networking.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders and teams.
• Lenel OnGuard Certification (Advanced Access or above) and/or Avigilon certification will be an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Ability to support occasional after-hours activities when required.
