We are seeking an enthusiastic, qualified, and experienced Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our dynamic international school community in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a high-quality PE curriculum that promotes physical fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork, and a lifelong love for physical activity across various age groups.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Instruction
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging PE lessons that align with the school's curriculum framework
- Teach fundamental movement skills, team games, health-related fitness, and sport-specific skills appropriate to the age and ability of students.
- Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment where students of all abilities are encouraged to participate and achieve their potential.
Assessment & Reporting
- Monitor, assess, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
- Provide regular feedback to students and parents on performance and development.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and participation.
Co-Curricular Activities & Events
- Organize, coach, and supervise sports clubs, school teams, and extra-curricular activities.
- Coordinate and manage sports events, inter-house competitions, and/or inter-school tournaments.
- Encourage student participation in physical activity beyond the classroom.
Health & Safety
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students during PE lessons and sports activities.
- Conduct risk assessments for activities, equipment, and facilities.
- Maintain and oversee use of PE and sports equipment, reporting any hazards or maintenance needs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Minimum 2 years of relevant PE teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
- Experience planning and delivering age-appropriate PE programmes across multiple grade levels.
