Physical Design Engineer (established company, semiconductor, flat-team structure)

Our client is a leading semiconductor company specializing in advanced chip design and AI processing technologies. Join a dynamic team working on cutting-edge physical design projects for next-generation digital ASIC, AI accelerators, and CPU architectures using advanced process nodes.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive physical design implementation from concept through GDSII delivery
• Own back-end implementation flow including placement, routing, and timing closure
• Develop layout designs with focus on PPAC optimization
• Manage power and performance verification including IR analysis and signoff
• Execute comprehensive STA and Spice signoff procedures
• Lead exploration of advanced packaging methodologies
• Implement physical verification solutions for design rule compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize chip architectures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Physics, Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Science, or Materials Science
• Strong academic foundation with demonstrated excellence
• Solid understanding of IC development processes and digital circuit design
• Practical experience with EDA tools and semiconductor design methodologies (is a bonus)
• Knowledge of advanced process nodes (is a bonus)
