We are looking for a senior Photonics Test Engineer to support the characterization of our silicon photonics integrated circuits.
Responsibilities:
- Define design verification test plans, analyze device performance, and provide feedback for design improvement.
- Perform detailed characterization of active and passive integrated photonic devices on the chip-level and wafer-level.
- Develop programs for test automation and data post-processing.
- Design and implement die sorting tests, interpret data, and conduct yield analysis.
- Interface with packaging and reliability teams to support high-volume production.
- Participate in R&D projects for the development of next-generation products.
- Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Master's Degree in electrical engineering, optical engineering or semiconductor physics.
- Hands-on experience in characterization of active and passive integrated photonic devices, including various OO, EO, and OE measurements at DC and AC levels.
- Hands-on experience on optical alignment and electrical probing procedure.
- Experience in test setup development and maintenance, and equipment resourcing.
- Proficiency in programming for instrument control, test automation, large dataset post-processing and statistical analysis.
- Good understanding of guided-wave optical device working principles.
- Background in 3D sensing, Lidar or autonomous navigation is a plus.
- Experience in active organic materials, compound materials and their hybrid integration is a plus.
- Familiarity with semiconductor foundry and subassembly process is a plus.
- Strong self-motivation, excellent communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams.
