Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Accurately pack and dispense prescriptions, adhering to established guidelines and standards. Counsel patients in line with Good Dispensing Guidelines to enhance drug usage and therapeutic outcomes. Ensure that medicines and dispensing supplies are consistently stocked to maintain an efficient workflow. Conduct regular equipment checks and maintain a clean and hygienic pharmacy environment. Monitor and replenish inventory, checking the expiry and condition of stocks regularly. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and suggest process improvements. Report any issues or patient concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel. Oversee IT and automation equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report malfunctions.

Requirements

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences or a Certified Pharmacy Technician Course from an accredited institution. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting for Diploma holders. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and demonstrate self-motivation.
