Core Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all handling of controlled drugs (CD) complies with the Misuse of Drugs Act and Misuse of Drug Regulations, including licensing, storage, documentation, and distribution.
- Wholesale Supply: Oversee and execute the wholesale supply of controlled drugs, maintaining detailed records of receipt, storage, and distribution, and ensuring legal compliance.
Actual handling of CD such as:
- Inbound and outbound processing
- Inventory management, inclusive of count of balance stock after inbound and outbound stock movement
- Maintenance of CD register
Secondary responsibilities:
- Operational Management: Monitor inventory, quality, and proper handling of pharmaceuticals, including controlled drugs, and participate in implementing schemes for workflow improvements.
- Arrangement timing is subject to customer inbound and or outbound schedule or as otherwise arranged.
- Work jointly with operations to ensure that SOPs (e.g., relating to receiving, storing, and issuing functions) are compliant with domestic, global, and customer requirements (e.g., HSA, GDP, Therapeutic license).
- Inventory audits and audits for compliance to CD handling. Audit processes (e.g., relating to receiving, storing, issuing, inventory control functions) and documentation for compliance, traceability, and accountability.
- Inventory and Documentation: Ensure drug inventories, storage conditions, and documentation meet legal and professional standards.
- Responding to HSA enquiries
- Mandatory annual compliance reporting to HSA
- Audit of the key log
- Complaint handling, if any
- Supervision & Training: Supervise support staff, provide training, and ensure workflow adheres to operational and legal standards. Training on CD handling
- Disposal management
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Pharmacy Degree: Registered pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
- Licensing: Registered pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council. Responsible person for Controlled Drug Wholesale Licence (CDWL).
- Professional Skills: Attention to regulatory detail, organizational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and authorities.
- Excellence in written and verbal communication skills and client-facing experience.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, multitask and work well in a fast-paced environment.
