Job Description

Turn Process Expertise into Manufacturing Impact

Ready to broaden your Process Engineering experience across technology transfer, process development, scale-up, equipment implementation, and manufacturing optimisation

Join a technical team where you'll play a key role in translating process concepts into robust, scalable, and compliant manufacturing solutions. From new product introductions and engineering trials to troubleshooting and commercialisation, you'll work across a diverse range of technical initiatives with multidisciplinary teams.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Lead engineering deliverables across capital projects, new product introductions, technology implementation, and process improvement initiatives.

  • Provide technical support throughout process development, technology transfer, scale-up, and commercialisation.

  • Plan and execute engineering trials, process studies, experiments, and technical assessments.

  • Work with Technical Services and project stakeholders to establish Critical Process Parameters (CPPs) and Key Process Parameters supporting process and equipment validation.

  • Serve as a technical resource for assigned processes and equipment, supporting troubleshooting, investigations, design reviews, change controls, and capital planning.

  • Develop process concepts, feasibility assessments, processing schemes, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and project scopes.

  • Identify opportunities to improve process safety, product quality, yield, productivity, cost effectiveness, and material efficiency.

  • Support automation and process engineering activities, including instrumentation requirements, control strategies, alarm philosophies, and shutdown systems.

  • Prepare and review GMP-compliant manufacturing procedures, master batch records, protocols, reports, and technical documentation.

  • Analyse technical findings and translate study outcomes into practical engineering recommendations.

  • Evaluate new technologies and support their integration into existing commercial manufacturing processes.

  • Drive scale-up and technology transfer from R&D into manufacturing, supporting successful implementation and post-launch optimisation.

  • Investigate manufacturing and process deviations using structured root-cause analysis and recommend corrective actions.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor CAPA plans arising from technical investigations and process issues.

  • Participate in URS preparation, equipment retrofit projects, FAT, SAT, and equipment qualification activities.

  • Support Quality Risk Assessments (QRA) and process hazard assessments to identify and mitigate technical and operational risks.

  • Develop preliminary project cost estimates and technical scopes to support CAPEX proposals and investment planning.

  • Manage multiple engineering activities while balancing technical requirements, project timelines, and manufacturing priorities.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, Automation, Technical Services, and Project teams to deliver effective engineering solutions.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Biomedical Sciences, Life Sciences, Engineering, or another relevant scientific or technical discipline.

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Development, or a related technical function.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, biopharmaceutical, or other regulated manufacturing environments will be advantageous.

  • Strong technical analysis, troubleshooting, investigation, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities while meeting deadlines.

  • Sound understanding of manufacturing processes, process development, technology transfer, scale-up, and technical operations.

  • Proactive and accountable approach with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

Why This Role

Expand your Process Engineering capabilities across technology transfer, scale-up, validation, equipment projects, process development, and manufacturing optimisation.

With exposure to diverse technical initiatives and cross-functional collaboration, you'll have the opportunity to contribute directly to process robustness, manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and continuous improvement within a regulated environment.

If you're ready to take your Process Engineering experience into a broader technical role with meaningful manufacturing impact, we welcome your application.
