Pega Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pega Developer for the role of Associate/Senior Associate – Projects, with 3 to 7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have strong, hands-on experience across Pega frameworks, Case Management, User Experience, Data & Integration, Application Development, Reporting, and the Pega Platform, and will be comfortable working in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment on enhancements and new build initiatives.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Pega-based solutions to meet business requirements as part of enhancements and/or new service requests.
• Provide expertise in Pega frameworks, ensuring robust, scalable, and reusable application architecture that follows industry best practices and enterprise standards.
• Utilize Pega Case Management to design, streamline, and automate complex business workflows, enhancing operational efficiency.
• Design intuitive, user-centric interfaces using Pega User Experience (UX) principles to improve usability and adoption.
• Integrate Pega applications with various internal and external data sources and systems (REST/SOA integrations, connectors) to ensure seamless data flow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams — business analysts, architects, QA, and stakeholders — to define and implement integration strategies and solutions.
• Conduct thorough unit, integration, and performance testing and debugging of Pega applications to ensure high performance, quality, and reliability.
• Provide technical support, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting for Pega applications, resolving production issues promptly.
• Develop and maintain Pega reports and dashboards to support business insights and decision-making.
• Document all development processes, configurations, technical designs, and changes for future reference, audit, and compliance.
• Stay current with the latest Pega platform releases, tools, and industry best practices, and proactively recommend improvements.
• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and Agile/Scrum ceremonies, delivering high-quality solutions on time and within scope.
• Mentor junior developers on Pega best practices, coding standards, and application lifecycle management.
• Demonstrate expertise in Pega Case Management, including the ability to design and implement complex, multi-step workflows.
• Showcase proficiency in Pega User Experience, creating user-centric designs that enhance usability and accessibility.
• Apply strong knowledge of Pega Data and Integration, ensuring seamless connectivity with databases, APIs, and third-party systems.
• Exhibit strong skills in Pega Application Development, from requirement analysis and design through build, testing, and deployment.
• Leverage Pega Platform capabilities (rulesets, class structures, security models, agents/queue processors) to build scalable enterprise applications.
  
  

Requirements & Skills

• 3–7 years of hands-on Pega development experience (Pega PRPC / Pega Platform 7.x/8.x or later).
• Strong working knowledge of Pega Case Management, Pega Application Development, Pega Data and Integration, Pega User Experience, and Pega Reporting.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodology (PegaSCRUM preferred).
• Solid understanding of Pega rulesets, class structures, decision rules, flows, and security models.
• Experience integrating Pega with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, connectors, and services.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills for complex production issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
• Exposure to Pega Decision Hub, Pega Mobility, or Pega RPA is a plus.
• Domain exposure (e.g., BFSI, Insurance, Healthcare, Asset & Wealth Management) is an added advantage.
  
  

Certification(s) Required

Certified Pega System Architect (CSA) — mandatory; Certified Pega Senior System Architect (CSSA) preferred.
