RESPONSIBILITIES
Partial Discharge On-Site Testing
Independently perform on-site PD testing on various HV assets switchgear, transformers, and cables.
Operate an array of PD testing equipment acoustic, thermal, UHF, TEV, HF sensors.
Operate PD testing and analysis software.
Ensure all testing procedures adhere to relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE) and safety protocols.
Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues on-site.
Methodically collect and log all test data, including equipment readings, environmental conditions, and asset information.
Generate reports concluding field tests.
Maintain, manage and organise test equipment, ancillary tools, and site documentation.
LEW Site Work
Supervise workers on-site to ensure works performed on electrical installations comply to regulation.
Interpret electrical single-line drawings to verify design specifications.
Supervision of installation for LV switchgear, distribution boards, wiring, and associated electrical components.
Conduct switching operations on LV switchgear in accordance with regulation and in-house procedures.
Independently conduct inspection and testing of new and existing electrical installations.
Utilise typical testing equipment voltage and current meters, insulation resistance, earth loop impedance, phase sequence and other relevant electrical work tools.
Diagnose and troubleshoot basic electrical faults.
Prepare and submit all necessary documentation, such as inspection reports, test results, and single-line diagrams, to the EMA and SPPG for electrical installation activities.
WORK DESCRIPTION
This is a field-based position requiring extensive site work, approximately 70% of the time.
PD/LEW testings are all on-site.
Remaining time is WFH.
No office attendance required.
Ability to lift and carry equipment.
Okay working in warm weather conditions and industrial environments.
Work is performed on-site, such as utility and private transmission and distribution substations, and other commercial and industrial settings.
Work involves irregular hours and requires flexibility to meet client schedules.
The role requires a high level of responsibility and a focus on safety and compliance.
Valid driver&aposs license.
MHA clearance required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor Degree - Electrical Power Engineering
Diploma Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering (SP or NP)

RENUMERATION
S$3,500 to S$5,000
