Plan, prepare, and produce a wide variety of pastries, viennoiseries, cakes, and desserts according to One18 Bakery standards.
Innovate and develop new pastry items in line with seasonal trends and customer preferences.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation of all baked products.
Oversee daily kitchen operations including inventory, ordering, and stock rotation.
Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (SFA guidelines).
Train, supervise, and guide junior bakers and kitchen assistants.
Collaborate with the team to support product launches, catering, and live station events.
Monitor production costs, portion control, and minimize wastage.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role (minimum 3-5 years).
Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, baking science, and dessert presentation.
Creative mindset with ability to innovate new recipes and flavors.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume bakery environment.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Diploma or certification in Pastry Arts, Culinary Arts, or related field preferred.
