Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our kitchen team. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality desserts, pastries, and baked goods while maintaining consistency, creativity, and food safety standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in pastry techniques and a keen eye for presentation and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and produce a variety of desserts, pastries, cakes, and baked goods
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation of all products
- Develop new dessert items and contribute to menu innovation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering ingredients and supplies
- Minimize food wastage and control production costs
- Work closely with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth operations
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff where required
Requirements
- Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts, Pastry, or related field
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Pastry Chef or similar role
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and dessert preparation
- Attention to detail and passion for quality and presentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Good time management and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
