Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Parts Officer to join our Service & Parts team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accurate identification and timely delivery of components. The successful candidate will interpret technical drawings, manage customer inquiries, and coordinate with internal departments to facilitate seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret mechanical and electrical technical drawings and parts lists to accurately identify required components for machine repairs and maintenance.
Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email regarding spare parts availability, specifications, and pricing.
Prepare and issue quotations based on customer requirements and technical documentation.
Process customer orders, ensuring accuracy in part numbers and quantities.
Coordinate with the warehouse team to arrange timely shipments and monitor delivery schedules.
Generate necessary shipping documents, including invoices, delivery orders, and case markings.
Request quotations from suppliers and process purchase orders.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and participate in periodic stock-taking activities.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless daily operations and customer satisfaction.
Perform administrative duties and assist in other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements:
Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings and parts lists.
Preferably with relevant experience in a Parts Centre or similar environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently.
