Job Description

Position Title: Part-Time Compliance Officer /Compliance Advisor
Location: Singapore (Remote / Flexible)
Engagement Type: Part-Time (5-10 hours per week)
Reporting To: Head of Compliance / Partner

  • Licensed and regulated entities under the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), including Capital Markets Services (CMS) licence holders
  • Corporate finance advisory firms
  • Insurance brokers and intermediaries
  • Fund management companies, family offices, and investment holding structures

We operate across multiple jurisdictions including Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and offshore financial centres, supporting clients on both operational and regulatory matters.

2.Role Overview

Weare seeking an experienced compliance professional to support our clients in meeting regulatory obligations under the MAS framework.

Thisis a part-time, advisory-focused role suited for a practitioner who isable to provide practical, commercially grounded compliance advice andact as an outsourced compliance function for selected clients.

3.Scope of Work

RegulatoryAdvisory

  • Advise clients on MAS regulatory requirements, including those applicable to CMS licence holders, financial advisers, and insurance intermediaries
  • Interpret and apply regulatory requirements in a practical, business-oriented manner

ComplianceFrameworks

  • Review, design, and update compliance manuals, policies, and internal controls (including AML/CFT frameworks)
  • Ensure frameworks are aligned with MAS expectations for regulated entities

OngoingCompliance Support

  • Perform periodic compliance reviews and health checks
  • Provide oversight of compliance monitoring programmes and risk assessments

RegulatoryLiaison

  • Support responses to MAS queries, inspections, and regulatory filings
  • Assist clients in preparing for regulatory audits

Advisory& Escalation

  • Act as a senior advisor on complex or judgement-based compliance matters
  • Provide guidance to both clients and internal teams

4.Requirements

  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant compliance experience in Singapore
  • Strong working knowledge of MAS regulations, including:
  • Securities and Futures Act (SFA)
  • Financial Advisers Act (FAA)
  • AML/CFT requirements
  • Direct experience supporting or advising the following types of entities is essential:
  • Capital Markets Services licence holders (fund managers, capital markets intermediaries)
  • Corporate finance advisory firms
  • Insurance brokers or insurance intermediaries
  • Prior experience as:
  • Compliance Officer, MLRO, or
  • Compliance consultant / outsourced advisory role
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CAMS, ICA, CFA, or legal qualification) are advantageous

5.Engagement Structure & Remuneration

This is a part-time engagement of approximately 5-10 hours per week, with flexibility depending on client requirements.

Indicativecompensation (Singapore market):

  • Hourly: SGD 80 - 150 per hour or
  • Monthly retainer: SGD 2,000 - 5,000

Higher compensation may be considered for candidates undertaking named appointments (e.g. Compliance Officer or MLRO roles).
