Job Summary
We are seeking passionate Pottery Trainers to deliver beginner-friendly pottery and ceramics workshops for adult learners, fostering a fun and supportive hands-on learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct beginner-level pottery and ceramics training sessions to develop learners foundational skills
- Teach basic pottery techniques including hand-building and wheel throwing to enable practical skill acquisition
- Demonstrate correct use of pottery tools, materials, and equipment to ensure safe and effective practice
- Guide learners through hands-on activities and creative projects to enhance their artistic expression
- Facilitate learner engagement and manage classroom participation to maintain an interactive learning atmosphere
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and enforce safety protocols for proper handling of materials and equipment
- Support lesson preparation and classroom setup to ensure smooth session delivery
Required competencies and certifications
- ACLP-certified or currently undergoing ACLP training
- Experience practicing pottery, ceramics, or clay art
- Comfortable teaching adult learners in classroom or workshop settings
- Ability to manage classroom flow independently and maintain learner focus
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior experience teaching, facilitating workshops, or coaching to improve learner engagement and knowledge transfer
- Proficiency in wheel throwing and glazing techniques
- Background in arts, design, or creative workshop facilitation
- Experience conducting corporate, lifestyle, or community workshops
