Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide all-rounded legal and administrative support to the contracts team.

  • Assist in the preparation and drafting of legal documents, conduct legal research, and compile court papers, bundles, authorities, and submissions to support litigation, transactional, or compliance matters.

  • Manage document review and organization, including paginating, redacting, and indexing documents maintain electronic document databases and physical archives for efficient tracking.

  • Communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including liaising with clients, subcontractors, opposing counsel, courts, and internal departments regarding supporting documents.

  • Handle case and matter management by maintaining case files, managing calendars and deadlines, tracking discovery, and coordinating with clients, witnesses, and experts.

  • Handle correspondence, including responding to emails and letters with all stakeholders, as required.

  • Assist with any other matters or projects as assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements

  • Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Law/Legal Studies or a Degree in Law/Paralegal Studies.

  • At least 2 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm or in-house setting is preferred.

  • Entry-level candidates with a strong interest in pursuing a legal career are also encouraged to apply.

  • Strong command of written and spoken English.

  • Strong analytical and word-processing skills.

  • Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with meticulous attention to detail and a proactive mindset. Able to prioritize tasks, work both independently and as part of a team, multitask effectively, and perform well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrate initiative, commitment to excellence, eagerness to learn, and adaptability to new challenges and changing priorities. Able to follow directions and procedures.

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
