Job Description
- Coordinate with internal teams across Finance, Treasury, Operations, Projects, and Technical departments to ensure smooth planning and execution of purchase, sale, and financing activities.
- Prepare documentation for vessel registrations and interact with ship registries to support compliance and transaction timelines.
- Draft a range of documentation, including management agreements and supporting commercial paperwork, ensuring accuracy and alignment with internal requirements.
- Handle KYC and AML checks on external parties, reviewing submitted documents and raising followup actions where needed.
- Track progress across multiple matters by maintaining organised files, logs, and departmental trackers.
- Support deal execution by assembling corporate authorities, reviewing facility-related materials, and managing conditions precedent lists.
- Assist with mandated regulatory submissions and filings with relevant government bodies.
- Act as a liaison with external counsel and support meeting preparations, including participating in closing sessions and coordinating deliverables.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Paralegal should have:
- Strong drafting capability with exceptional attention to detail and clarity.
- Proven ability to manage documents and stay highly organised across multiple active matters.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience gained in a corporate, financial institution, or legal environment, ideally connected to aviation, commodities, or maritime sectors.
- Familiarity with areas such as asset or corporate finance, ship finance, KYC/compliance work, company secretarial duties, or vessel sale and purchase processes.
- Comfortable working independently while engaging with commercial teams on timesensitive, fastmoving transactions.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills paired with solid projectmanagement instincts.
