Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Paralegal to provide vital legal and administrative support to our program and operations teams. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful legal matters related to climate policy, environmental regulation, corporate accountability, and governance. The position is well-suited for someone with excellent research and drafting skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to climate justice.Key Responsibilities
- Carry out legal research on climate, environmental, energy, and administrative law topics.
- Draft, edit, and review legal documents, and correspondence.
- Assist in litigation and regulatory work, including preparing filings and supporting case management.
- Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments across the region.
- Review contracts, grants, and agreements for compliance and risk considerations.
- Organize and maintain case files, legal databases, and document management systems.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners, including law firms, public institutions, and civil society groups.
- Provide administrative support to senior legal staff, including scheduling, record-keeping, and preparation for meetings.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Paralegal should have:
- Educational qualifications in law or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in providing legal or administrative support.
- Excellent research, writing and analytical skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
- Proficiency with legal research tools and Microsoft Office.
