We are seeking an experienced Oracle Platform Operations Engineer to provide Day-2 operations, maintenance, and patching support across Oracle environments (Production, UAT, and Development).
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, assess, and implement Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPU) and Critical Security Patch Updates (CSPU).
- Manage patching activities for Oracle Middleware technologies including Oracle HTTP Server (OHS), WebLogic Server, Forms & Reports, and Oracle ADF.
- Perform Oracle Database 19c and Data Guard patching, switchover, validation, and recovery activities.
- Support Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Pro*C environments.
- Conduct pre-patch risk assessments, compatibility reviews, backup and rollback planning.
- Execute post-patch validation, stabilization support, and incident resolution.
- Support vulnerability remediation, Oracle Service Request (SR) management, and security compliance initiatives.
- Maintain patch documentation, implementation reports, and governance records.
- Participate in maintenance activities during approved after-office hours, weekends, or public holidays when required.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting Oracle Fusion Middleware (14c+) and Oracle Database 19c environments.
- Strong experience with:
- Oracle HTTP Server (OHS)
- Oracle WebLogic Server
- Oracle Forms & Reports
- Oracle Database & Data Guard
- Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Pro*C environments
- Proven track record in Oracle CPU patching and supporting mission-critical production systems with minimal downtime.
- Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, rollback procedures, and Data Guard switchover operations.
- Experience working within enterprise or regulated environments with formal change and release management processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex Oracle middleware and database issues and coordinate with Oracle Support when required.
- Must be based in Singapore and able to support scheduled maintenance activities outside business hours when needed.
