Options Trader - India
Job Description
Referment is working with a global options market maker to hire an Options Trader for its market-making team in Singapore, with a focus on index and stock options in the Indian market. You will join a collaborative trading operation and take direct responsibility for a proprietary trading book.
The Role
You will manage and optimise a proprietary trading book focused on Indian index and stock options, monitoring and managing risk exposures in real time. You will generate and implement trading ideas using both intuition and data-driven research, analyse historical trading performance to improve strategies and execution, and use quantitative tools to build hypotheses, design experiments and backtest strategies.

The Role

What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of experience trading Indian options (Korean or other markets experience is a plus)
- In-depth knowledge of pricing, execution and risk in index futures and cash equity markets
- Familiarity with algorithmic trading systems (high- or mid-frequency strategies)
- Bachelor's or higher degree in a STEM discipline (e.g. mathematics, engineering, physics, computer science)
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++; strong quantitative and analytical skills and the ability to interpret large datasets
- Experience in mathematical and statistical modelling using a range of techniques
- A self-starter capable of conducting independent research and driving projects, with excellent communication and collaboration skills and a passion for solving complex problems
