Options Specialist

UOB Kay Hian is seeking an experienced and dynamic Options Specialist to drive the growth of our Listed Options business. This individual will be responsible for educating clients and sales teams, generating actionable trade ideas, demonstrating trading platforms, and promoting listed options as part of a broader solutions-based investment approach.

Job Responsibilities

1. Options Education & Business Development

Client and Sales Training

• Conduct regular training sessions for clients and relationship managers on listed options.
• Design and deliver beginner-friendly options education programs covering:
• Options fundamentals
• Basic trading strategies
• Risk management
• Develop intermediate and advanced training modules on:
• Volatility trading
• Managing option portfolio

Trade Ideas & Market Commentary

• Provide timely and practical listed options trade ideas focused primarily on:
• US equity markets especially major index ETFs (SPY, QQQ, IWM, etc.) and large-cap US stocks (e.g. Magnificent 7s)
• Publish concise market updates, educational content, and actionable option ideas for clients and internal sales teams.

Educational Brand Building

Create engaging practical retail trading strategy. The successful candidate should be comfortable using innovative educational concepts to make options investing more approachable and engaging.

For example:

Sell Put Bro

• Focuses on systematic cash-secured put selling.

Ten Cent Man

• Focuses on purchasing deeply out-of-the-money options with limited downside and high upside potential.
• Seeks asymmetrical risk-reward opportunities around major market events.
• Demonstrates disciplined speculation with predefined risk.

2. Public Speaking & Client Engagement

• Conduct seminars, webinars, client events, and workshops.
• Deliver live market presentations and product briefings.
• Participate in client acquisition and client retention initiatives.
• Represent UOB Kay Hian at investment seminars and industry events.
• Confident and polished presenter capable of engaging both beginner and sophisticated investors.

3. Trading Platform Specialist

Serve as the subject matter expert for options trading platforms.

Responsibilities include:

• Conduct live demonstrations for clients and sales teams.
• Support onboarding and education for platform users.
• Explain platform functions, workflows, and best practices.

Platforms include:

• Pershing
• Interactive Brokers (IBKR)

4. Content Creation & Digital Engagement

• Develop educational materials including:
• Training ppt: Option strategy guides
• Client newsletters in different format: email, pdf, short videos, social media content
• Utilize AI tools to enhance content production and client engagement.
• Leverage video-generation, automation, and AI-assisted communication tools to scale educational outreach.

Experience using tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, HeyGen, Canva AI, or similar platforms will be viewed favorably.

Candidate Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in:
• Options trading or sales
• Derivatives advisory
• Brokerage
• Wealth management or private banking

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
• MAS Representative's License (or immediately transferable licensing status preferred).

Technical Knowledge

Strong understanding of:

• US listed options
• Volatility concepts and options Greeks
• Portfolio risk management

Knowledge of OTC derivatives and structured investments is advantageous.

Language Skills

Required:

• Fluent English (spoken and written)
